Canon Powershot A590IS

I bought a Canon Powershot A590IS at RM299 from Mutiara Damansara Courts Mammoth Megastore. I've wanted to get this camera for a long time ever since i lost my Pentax as i wanted a cheap camera that's able to take quality shots with manual controls. I almost gave up since most shops don't carry this model anymore. On the night before i was supposed to get a Pana Lumix TZ7 at a camera fair held in BB Plaza (my friend got a Pana FZ35 there), i saw Courts Mammoth advertisement in the newspapers so I knew I had to get it :D

Unfortunately it didn't come bundled with other accessories so i had to buy them separately myself. I bought a screen protector at RM10 & 4GB SD Card (C-Zone in Lowyat Plaza) at RM42.

I'm planning to get Maha PowerEx C204W + Imedion 2100mAh AA Batteries (4pcs) at RM150 & a Deuter Camera Case S at around RM33.

So total damage would be around RM534 for a decent budget camera :)

Funding my Zecco Account

I just funded my Zecco account yesterday and i got an email from them that they have received it and I can start trading the following day! YES! That was fast, I mean i thought it'd take more than a week for it to process. However on the bad side, US stock went up yesterday. Not good for me but atleast I can start trading stocks soon. In addition to the RM10 charge from M2u TT, it seems my account balance in zecco is USD21 short! I haven't started to trade and I've already lost so much!

I found this website useful to register for a Zecco trading account.

I had to refer to this site to gain access to the trading center as i didn't know the trading key. Who would have thought that the trading key is actually 999+(last 4 digits of your trading account number) for non US residents. GOSH!

Farewell Mr Pentax. I'll treasure the 2 years we spent together...

What a bad day. I lost my 1st digital camera today. Yeap, a Pentax digicam which i bought like 2 years ago before i left Pfizer. Today i attended my dear brother's dance competition in Shangrila in which he was one of the contestants.

I lost it due to my carelessness. The digicam dropped on the floor without me noticing it. I then found out that a middle aged woman picked it up and didn't bother to pass it to the organizer or the hotel staff.

I believe the reason for my bad luck was because I've been letting in negative energy into my body and mind. I will take this as a lesson and use it pump up my spirit by bringing in more good and positive energy instead.

Let this day remind me how close i was to going back to my old ways but thanks to this incident I'll change for the better. I feel that my wonderful transformation isn't that far away.

Hong Kong Experiences

I was checking out some videos on youtube on Hong Kong and came across this one. Very nice :) The last part there was quite touching. A very well made video to attract tourists to Hong Kong. It makes me want to fly there now!

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

I just had my wisdom tooth, which was growing horizontally extracted today. It looked like this (dentist showed me the X-ray):

That wisdom tooth was pushing my adjacent tooth in, so making my teeth crooked slowly.

I had my right wisdom tooth removed 7 years ago. After that i stopped going to the dentist (no thanks to the excruciating pain i felt during the surgery). Today's extraction is for my left wisdom tooth.

Today's surgery was a success and wasn't as painful as the 1st one i had. But it was still painful and i was praying for it to end (was glad when he started to stitch my gum wound). The dentist had to cut the wisdom tooth half since it was too near to my other tooth. He also injected the anesthetic into my gum twice (the 1st one wasn't that effective), so that could be the reason it wasn't that painful. But i still felt pain during the operation...

Well finally i have it removed. I'm glad. Now i just need to bear with the pain and discomfort especially when the anesthetic wears off soon. Even now when I swallow my own saliva, i can feel pain. gosh...

Oranges & Apples

٩(●̮̮̃•̃)۶ ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶ ٩(•̃.●̮̮̃)۶ coolbabe™ says:
like a fren once told me:

٩(●̮̮̃•̃)۶ ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶ ٩(•̃.●̮̮̃)۶ coolbabe™ says:
the reason why u didnt get her is not because u are not good..

٩(●̮̮̃•̃)۶ ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶ ٩(•̃.●̮̮̃)۶ coolbabe™ says:
it's just because, she's an apple, looking for an apple, and you are an orange, looking for an orange..

Really wise words from Cindy The Magnificent. I guess if a relationship doesn't work out, we can say it's because one is looking for something different (apple or orange). I'll definitely share this with other friends.

First Date Rules & Tips

Here are some rules and tips courtesy of Cindy!

THE 6 IMPORTANT RULES WHEN IT COMES TO DATING
:-
rule 1: be attentive

rule 2: ask question, and then wait until she finish talking then only talk

rule 3: always have eye contact (not directly to eye - it will make her abit uncomfortable..just face her like normal talking. but eyes, have to be focus in between eye and mouth..occassionally eye to eye)

rule 4: when her drinks are finish, remember to ask if she need another one. and then order for her (if she say yes). if she say no, ask her if she need plain water.
(normally, she will want water. )
ask: would you like to have another round of drinks?
(if she say no)
ask: what about a glass of water?
if she still say no, then just say Ok.

rule 5
always, always, walk her to her car (if she drives).
and then, if can, open her car door for her.
if meet for 1st time/2nd time, shake hand before saying goodbye
if 3rd time, she's comfortable, give her a good hug and say goodbye
of course girls like guys open door for her!
that's one of the things that a gentleman do!

Rule 6
not put any expectation
then it will be easier for you to get her out. when u dont expect, you wont be afraid.
treat her like a fren. think of it as like u ask me out for a meal, as a fren

Other tips from Cindy the Magnificent :-

1. 1st impression is important.

if she ask you out, she should spend you..
if you ask her out, then you should spend her..

but normally, if she ask you out, she wanna spend, u either request for AA or u treat her.
u don't want her to think u are stingy, do you?

2.Be a Gentleman
all girls like gentleman

3. girls like attention
if u manage to get her talking and talking about herself, u are on.
cos girls like guys who ask them question and let them talk without cutting them. especially on 1st meeting
but on rare occassion, they would want the guys to talk more.
if she's the quiet type, and your questions end up with 2 - 3 syllabus, then u must automatic do the talking

4. share some jokes, or your pastime..
for instance:
u ask: so..what do you like to do during your free time?
she said: erm..nothing much..just read some books and watch tv.
u said: ahh..a reader! me too! i like to read science fiction (or whatever).what kind of books are u into?
he said: erm...just some chick flicks.
u said: ahh..nice. most girls likes those kinda books. My best friend's girlfren like those too! but i never understand why. Maybe i should try to read
then u continue with next question..
ask: do you like outdoors?
remember..try to gain more syllabus.
when she say in 2 syllabus, and u answer in 2 syllabus, the conversation become boring.
if she talks alot, u can do that...
but if she is also quiet type, u must do the talking.
just talk about what u like..and ask her what she like..
try to ask her more..
remember this: only say what you like after she say.
u can also ask her like what kind of movie she likes to watch..
horror,...romantic...scary movie, adventure..
then u can talk about the latest movie, and ask if she watch before..
who knows, u may land a date to watch a movie with her?
u have to be proactive

Thanks Cindy! You are the best!
-Gabe
